A New Me for 2013

I’m not a huge believer in new years resolutions as I try to ‘be the best I can’ and make changes to be a better person throughout the year and I don’t like using new year as an excuse to do that but this year I have felt motivated to make some changes that I didn’t expect I was going to. More excitingly, most of the motivation has come from fellow bloggers!

Fitness:

The first change I made (and the one I expect most people have made in January) is my fitness routine. Last year I had to give up dance class because of university commitments, but that also meant cutting out my regular exercise routine. I love exercise but at the moment I can’t afford/fit in long gym sessions four times a week like I used to. However, I have come up with a solution!

My 22 before 22!

A while ago I saw that Janey was working her way through her ’30 before 30′ list; thirty things she wanted to do in the year before she turned 30. I loved the idea and decided to jump on board, and, since yesterday was my 21st birthday, I’m now ready to start my 22 before 22!

To motivate me to get through my list, I made it look pretty:

A Bit of Girl Power and a Global Giveaway!

I’ll admit, when I first started my blog back in April, I didn’t actually know what a blog was. It seems bizarre now I know but it’s true. All I knew was that my boyfriend had a blog and he thought that I should have one too. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful that he set one up for me and, although there have been a few kinks to iron out, I finally feel like I am finding my feet in blogging.

Giveaway!

A while ago I mentioned that I was planning on having a giveaway as I had reached 200 followers and I have finally got round to organising it! I have been so busy with university and NaNoWriMo recently that I haven’t even had chance to think about it. However, I have got my hands on some Skin Repairing Snail Cream from Wishtrend.com and I have decided to pass it on to one of my followers, so you can fall in love with Korean beauty too!

All Quiet on the Western Front…

Sorry it has been so quiet around here lately – I don’t know where the time is going! I do have a couple of posts lined up so I will share them with you as soon as I can squeeze in time to write them!

Nails no. 2!

Earlier in the week I saw a lovely post by Polly May about the lovely nail wraps she had bought from Primark.

I have been debating using nail wraps for a while but never got round to trying them. When Polly May mentioned that hers were only £1 from Primark I knew that I had no excuse!

Being Educated in BB!

A little while ago I read sweetjellybean.com’s blog post about BB cream. Having used BB cream in the past, I was intrigued as I had not had very good results.

The main reason I tried BB cream was because I rely heavily on foundation to cover my ‘rosy cheeks,’ but with the added benefits of BB cream for my skin, it seemed a better long-term solution to switch. (see Sweetjellybean.com’s post for the background to BB cream!) I received a free sample of a Garnier BB cream, which I tried but I wasn’t completely satisfied with.

While the product was easy to apply as it had a similar consistency to liquid foundation, but it didn’t give me the reliable coverage of my regular foundation. Here are some ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos.
