Knick Knack Under the Sea Jewellery Subscription Box ***Discount Code***

Hello!

Sorry about the lack of posts recently…I was full of cold last week so I’ve been playing catch up with all of my jobs!

I was lucky enough to be asked to review the latest Knick Knack jewellery subscription box from Alphabet Suitcase. This is a monthly box containing a range of jewellery items to match the theme of the month. The June box had an ‘Under the Sea’ theme and it has some great nautical items in it! You can watch my unboxing video here and see below for the discount code!

May 2015 Incoming and Outgoing Mail

Hello!

A really really quick round up of my incoming and outgoing mail this month because I’ve not been as active as I should have been! At the beginning of the month I focused on getting my #Postcircl mail out, so my Postcrossing postcards fell by the wayside for a few weeks! I’ve caught up with everything now though so hopefully June will bring more happymail to my door!

Outgoing:

As I mentioned, the first outgoing mail that I sent was my #Postcircle bundle. The letters were only brief this time round but I did write to everyone in my group which is what I was aiming to do. I’d got so far behind in my replies that I had loads to reply to so I’m thrilled I’m finally back on track! Hopefully this means that going forward I can reply as soon as a letter falls through my door to ensure I can spend more time putting together a lovely little parcel like the ones I receive!

A little something that made me smile…

Yesterday I got a lovely surprise in the post that I really wasn’t expecting. We all know how post-mad I am, and the best kind of post is the unexpected kind (not including bills!) I was sat in the middle of a busy day at work, when a familiar looking box dropped onto my desk. I definitely recognised the shape/size of the box (plus the washi tape decoration) as a Crafty What Nots box, but I knew I wasn’t due one! Then I had a mad panic in case it had come early and I needed to renew my subscription when payday is two week away! But no, it wasn’t my regular subscription box, it was a lovely surprise from Jenny to say thank you for loving her boxes! I was completely surprised and it really made my day! I don’t understand how anyone could not love the boxes really, and I love to share them with you on my blog and Youtube channel because I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do! I certainly never expect anything for writing about what I love and it is very rare that I do sponsored posts (all of which are labelled as such when I do) because I just love to share things I am passionate about with my readers! I am incredibly grateful to Jenny for the amazing parcel, and especially grateful that she picked out everything pink! She knows it is my favourite colour πŸ˜‰ Here is a peek at what I received in the box:

So do you want a closer look at the goodies I got? The first thing I spotted in the box was a lot of paper goodies! There is a great range of papers, including 2 A4 sheets of pink paper, 11 8×8 floral papers, 23 6×6 pink and yellow patterned papers, 5 mini card blanks with envelopes and a notebook. Giveaway Goodies!

My goodness, I have been overwhelmed by giveaway prizes recently! It tends to go in phases when I win quite a few in one go, then don’t win any for ages…recently I have been pretty lucky when it comes to random draws! Isn’t that the fun of giveaways??? I wanted to take this chance to share with you some of the wonderful gifts that I have won.

The first giveaway was from Azura Chan, in partnership with her friend Ain. To celebrate her birthday, she was giving away a ‘Jar of Love,’ that I was lucky enough to win.

How adorable is this little jar? I can certainly see that there has been a lot of love put into decorating it!

A New Friend from Across the Pond

In December last year I noticed someone had signed up to The White Peach Blog’s penpal scheme and shared it to Facebook. I spotted it on my newsfeed and was instantly intrigued! Mary of Β The White Peach Blog has set up the mammoth scheme where penpals are randomly assigned for 2014, and then the aim is to write to your penpal once each month throughout the year, and to enclose a small gift for them. I loved the idea and signed up instantly! I have had a bit of a break from snail-mailing recently, but I loved the idea of getting to know someone across the space of a year, something which most swapping sites don’t allow you to do, as you only do one off swaps. I also felt that the commitment of one letter a month was reasonable and not too expensive. I didn’t have to think twice about signing up!

I was partnered with Stef from the US, and we have now exchanged our first letters. Mine was put together pretty hastily, as her birthday was 6th January, and I wanted to get my parcel to her as close to her birthday as I could…I was only a few days late! This is what I sent her:

Weekly Post Round-Up #5

Hello!

Sorry this is coming a little late, I wanted to get it uploaded yesterday but I have decided to do something a little bit different this week and I didn’t have time to get it finished until just now!

I have recorded my very first vlog! It was pretty scary but I wanted to try something new so I’d love to hear your thoughts on it! Fell free to give me some feedback or tips in the comments and if you like the video you can hop over to Youtube and subscribe to shiny new channel! I’m hoping to do about two videos a week so let me know if you’re for it or against it!

Here are the photos of the items that you might not have been able to see in the video very clearly: Continue reading

So Much Stationery!

So, after turning my love of snail mail into a hobby, I have had to stock up on my stationery supplies once again…it’s surprising how quickly you get through everything! Here are a few of the things that I picked up recently.

I started off by finding these lovely cards at a bargain price in Paperchase:

I fell in love with the cute designs and at only 40p each I knew that I had to buy two of each design! They will keep me going for a while!

That’s not the only bargain that I have found either…look at this lovely birthday card that I found in the British Heart Foundation shop for only 49p! It looked beautiful and with so many of is in my #PostCircle group being November/December babies I knew that I should start collecting cards now and it will be an easy one to re-home!
