A Bit of Girl Power and a Global Giveaway!

I’ll admit, when I first started my blog back in April, I didn’t actually know what a blog was. It seems bizarre now I know but it’s true. All I knew was that my boyfriend had a blog and he thought that I should have one too. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful that he set one up for me and, although there have been a few kinks to iron out, I finally feel like I am finding my feet in blogging. Continue reading

Giveaways Galore!

Last month I was pretty lucky when it came to giveaways on WordPress, but as I was busy novelling, I didn’t get chance to share them with you! I also hosted my own giveaway, and the winner will be revealed at the bottom of this post!

The first giveaway that I won was hosted by Trine-Marie, who was giving away an amazing set of OPI nail varnishes. I was so excited when this lovely duo arrived on my doorstep! Continue reading

Thank God it’s Over

November that is. Not that I have anything against November. In fact, November is often an awful month…cold, wet, full of essay deadlines and always seems to last forever because December (along with my birthday and Christmas) is lurking just around the corner. Well, this November has still been cold, incredibly wet and full of essay deadlines, however, I have also had the added stress of writing a 50,000 word novel and a mad dash to finish my boyfriend’s advent calendar in time for December 1st.

But… Continue reading

Giveaway!

A while ago I mentioned that I was planning on having a giveaway as I had reached 200 followers and I have finally got round to organising it! I have been so busy with university and NaNoWriMo recently that I haven’t even had chance to think about it. However, I have got my hands on some Skin Repairing Snail Cream from Wishtrend.com and I have decided to pass it on to one of my followers, so you can fall in love with Korean beauty too!

All Quiet on the Western Front…

Sorry it has been so quiet around here lately – I don’t know where the time is going! I do have a couple of posts lined up so I will share them with you as soon as I can squeeze in time to write them!

However, I thought I could make time for a tiny post telling you about the amazing giveaway hosted by Glossy Boutique. To celebrate 300 followers she is giving away a lovely set of Real Technique make up brushes. Be sure to check it out!

Being Educated in BB!

A little while ago I read sweetjellybean.com’s blog post about BB cream. Having used BB cream in the past, I was intrigued as I had not had very good results.

The main reason I tried BB cream was because I rely heavily on foundation to cover my ‘rosy cheeks,’ but with the added benefits of BB cream for my skin, it seemed a better long-term solution to switch. (see Sweetjellybean.com’s post for the background to BB cream!) I received a free sample of a Garnier BB cream, which I tried but I wasn’t completely satisfied with.

While the product was easy to apply as it had a similar consistency to liquid foundation, but it didn’t give me the reliable coverage of my regular foundation. Here are some ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos. Continue reading
