The other day I received an email from Cloud 9 Fabrics showing a preview of some of their new releases. The preview featured these adorable little foxes, which I had to explore further! After nipping over to the website, I discovered that the foxes AND some equally cute raccoons were due for release shortly. When I checked back on pay day…they were available! It was a sign surely?
They are designed by Ed Emberley as part of the Picture Pie range, and they stole my heart the minute they saw them. Since I’m in the UK, I had to find a seller here, but the Cloud 9 website offers you the ability to search for online retailers in other countries, and I stumbled across Backstitch. I ordered some on pay day and they arrived the next day! I was absolutely thrilled with them!
I ordered one fat quarter of each design (although I have no idea what I’m going to use them for and I’m not meant to be extending my stash…) but even James can’t resist them and keeps wandering around with them! The print on them is quite large (it is a 50p I have used in the photographs) so I think there is a lot of potential for the fabric, I’m going to look for some designs to put it to good use!
Also, apologies for the creases in the fabric, I didn’t have time to iron them before taking the photo!
Have you had any guilty purchases recently?
Lovely fabric! At the weekend I so didn’t buy 7 little wooden letters which spell out a name and are beautifully decorated with little flowers and patterns and a small wooden back which I will paint pale green before attaching the letters. I so didn’t justify a purchase of this nature because they were in a sale and I had some perfect green acrylic paint! That was not me…..
Let’s be honest, anything that is on sale is automatically a justified purchase! They sound adorable!
They are fab, I can totally understand why you couldn’t resist them.I particularly love the raccoon design π
Hehe they are very cute! I couldn’t pick a favourite between the two so it automatically justified buying both π lol
Haha best thing to do.Im sure you will find plenty of uses for either π
awww.. love the fox one.. this is soooo cute.. π thank you for the pictures and link.. π
It was the fox one that first caught my attention! He is very cute but then I saw the raccoons and I couldn’t make up my mind! Obviously the only logical solution was to buy both π
“What does the fox say” Lol! Lovely fabrics. I’m currently into cotton fabrics. They’re irresistible. π
Haha! Every time I look at the fabric I’m going to think of that song now XD lol. I love collecting cotton fat quarters, there are so many pretty designs!
Deeply, madly in love with those prints π
A project bag would be fab! Something along these lines:: https://www.facebook.com/YarnPop
Can’t wait to see what you decide on making π
Ooh a project bag would be handy! I may have to remember this idea! I might use one of them to make a carrier bag holder like this… http://www.pinterest.com/pin/262545853251267229/ I could really do with one!
I like that too!!! I had to pin that one for later myself π
OMG!!! Crazy love these prints!!!! :o)
They are so cute!
These are so adorable!
They really are!
Those fabrics are extremely cool, I look forward to seeing what you will do with them!
They are amazing! I have a couple of ideas, just waiting to see which one I think is the right one for them!
this fabric is so cute and if there were a rabbit one, I’d snatch it up! I thought you might be interested to see this quilt, made with these motifs: http://sewfreshquilts.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/its-friday.html
Oh my goodness! That quilt is adorable! I love it! Thanks for the link π
Those are really cute fabrics. I can’t wait to see what you decide to do with them. I am guilty of purchasing hand dyed cross stitch fabric…lots. But I have been good the last couple of weeks and have resisted the temptation to add more to my collection. It’s time I start using them π
Ooh that has been a new temptation of mine too! They are so pretty!
