I stumbled upon Jacqui Pearce’s blog a few months ago and I instantly fell in love with her designs for Cross Stitcher Magazine. When I heard that she had a book coming out, I knew that I had to buy it!
The book includes thirty cross stitch charts which uses tapestry wool instead of embroidery floss, allowing you to cross stitch on a large scale.
A couple of my favourite charts include the Groovy Pouffe and the Crayon Pencil Case (but it wasn’t an easy job narrowing it down to two!)
I love the bright colours that are used in all of the projects that look really exciting and unique. What really struck me about the book was the sheer number of patterns that are crammed in for only £16.99. The book contains 30 charts all complete with glossy photos and project instructions so you won’t be stuck for ideas when it comes to using your finished stitch.
I cannot recommend this book enough. For the price you pay, you are treated to loads of patterns for a number of different projects. You won’t encounter a single pattern that you don’t like and the range of projects will suit all of your tastes/needs. You are bound to be inspired by this book and I am even considering some supersize stitches of my own design!
The book looks great! I love the idea of cross-stitch that is a bit quicker to finish – and nice and bright too!
It is wonderful! Yeah some big projects take forever and certainly become more of a pain than enjoyable! It is great to see large projects that can be achieved quickly!
